Tired of Taping..Mouth Breathers' Dilemma..Any New FF Masks?

Post by beneyw » Sun Mar 02, 2008 5:16 am

After a few years of taping I am getting sore lips and so frustrated. Having a relatively small face, finding a FF mask that does not leak has not been successful.

Has anyone found a mask that gets them off of taping? I am more than ready to try some new FF masks but have no idea if anything has come along recently...appreciate any feedback.

Instead of taping try poligrip strips. No sore lips and they work quite well for me

Have you tried the Ultra Mirage Full Face mask? Or the Quattro? Those are my favorite FF masks.

The Quattro is available in different sizes, which may help your fit problem. I have a small face also and have had several zero leak nights with the Quattro.

Good luck,

The Hybrid has a smaller oral cushion than the standard FF masks which means less area for leaks to form. I find it more comfortable than the Mirage. Haven't tried the Quattro yet.

But it would be nice to see some new full face designs that didn't leak as much or be as cumbersome and uncomfortable to wear.

If you're a mouth breather maybe you should try the F&P Mouth Mask.

The Hans Rudolph mask is a great mask. It's almost all soft w/ hardly any hard plastic and they make a petite size for it as well. The mirage liberty is another mask that is worth looking into.
