It's nice to find company

Post by David » Thu Jun 02, 2005 12:14 pm

Hi

I'm new to this - 3 months on C-PAP. For me it's been a fairly rocky road. No equiptment problems but really not much improvement either...That is until the last couple of weeks where I have been able to sleep (some nights) for 7 uninterrupted hours and not wanting to sneak off for a nap at noon. So for all you new users, don't give up.
It's encouraging to see so many common issues being discussed.

Way to go, David! Determination is a key element of this therapy.

It all taKes time, there are few miracle cures, we did not get in this mess fast and we won't get out of it fast either.

If you have used CPAP Therapy for a few months and it doesn't seem to be doing anything then it probably isnt! You can't tell unless you track leaks and pressure settings and you can't do that without software!

What kind of machine do you have? What kind of mask?

What were your AHI and RDI indexes during your sleep study? What are they now. On CPAP they should be lower!
