DevilBiss 9001D

Post by Gourou » Tue Sep 11, 2007 8:59 am

Hi people!

My dad is working in an hospital and he found a broken CPAP. I repaired it and it's working A1 but I need to configure it because they pressure is to high it's blocking my ears...!

I allready have a CPAP and I'm planning to use that one for travelling... I know my pressure has to be at 5cm2 but I was wondering how I can configure it... I've read on the web it can be configured with a Palm (which I don't have) and also ON BOARD ... What do they mean on board?

If anyone could give me some explanation it would be appreciated.

Brand: DevilBiss
Model: 9001D

Thanks!

Phil

I THOUGHT I had come across the instructions for those machines sometime back, but can't seem to find it......maybe I imagined it.

Anyway, it's usually a "button combination" to get into the setup.....either while powering on or after it's powered up.....and they're all different.

I think I would try the two on the left side first. The two on the right may be the ones that adjust the settings up or down.

Good luck. And, if you figure it out, you might post the info here for future reference.

Best wishes,

Den

I've found some manual too... But they also say that "user can only change language" and some other parameter... I tried all kind of buttons combinations but without success...

There's also some kind of data plug behind the unit... maybe that's what they mean with "on board" ... maybe I have to plug some kind of computer or programmer in it to configure it...

you might try:

1. Turn on the machine
2. Turn off the machine
3. Right after that, hold the down arrow down as well as the ramp button... while holding those 2 buttons down hit the power button and it takes you to the setup mode...
4. Scroll over using the Select button until you get to ipap and epap settings and use the up and down arrows to change the levels. When done turn off the machine.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

This is a quote from the Provider manual for the 9055 Series DeVilbiss RPM Bilevel machine:

To unlock the prescription settings, make sure the blower is OFF (OFF should be shown on the display.) While pressing the DELAY and DOWN buttons, press the ON/OFF button to start the blower. The prescription settings are now unlocked and can be changed using the UP and DOWN buttons on the keypad. Press the SELECT button to advance to the next setting. The first value displayed on the LCD will be the mode.

Gourou, the 9011D you have is not a bilevel machine like the 9055, but perhaps some of those instructions for the 9055 will help. Essentially the same hoops to jump through that Snoredog suggested.
