It seems that Den is always right! Is that a Wulfman thing?
Using too little or too much humidity can cause congestion.
Also, Dristan has a rebound effect, causing worse congestion, IF I RECALL--I could be wrong.
You might also wish to use the search feature to look for "saline and nasal and wash" or "saline and nasal and rinse" or "neti and pot" but omit the quotes.

Constantly using Dristan or a similar product will eventually create the congestion problem you are trying avoid, as birdshell mentioned. So back off the stuff if you have been using it constantly. I tried it once in place of the nasal steroid sprays and paid the price till it got out of my system.
In addition to using the nasal washes when you have allergies or are stuffed up, you may want to invest in a full face mask. I have one for those nights when I am stuffed up and have to resort to mouth breathing.

OTC Dristan NOT good, will make it worse.
Try taking a shower before bed and/or use a saline rhino rinse, the shower and/or rinse will flush out the allergens in the nasal cavity which lead to inflammation, swelling and congestion.
Saline rinse flushes those allergens out, inflammation goes down, swelling goes down, congestion goes away, it's all really simple. Continued use of Dristan, Afrin and other OTC sprays may work for 1 or 2 nights then the chemicals in them cause inflammation, swelling and congestion from the spray itself.
The saline rhino rinse is like you eye tears, it soothes that nasal tissue as opposed to causing it to become inflammed. For some people even the baking soda can cause irritation, in those cases you leave the baking soda out, but just a pinch worth of baking soda is enough to dissolve dried mucosa and flush it out.
This is all you need, even costs less and will last you years:
You can also use a neti-pot or a large syringe.
