John44077, I don't know how your DME stays in business. My DME charged liked 8 times that cost to my insurance. And then repeated it monthly for all the disposable items I got ONCE. How many times can they charge my insurance $100 for an $8 tube???? Let's just see...

My only salvation? The sleep study ($10,000 plus) ate up my deductible, so no "out of pocket" with the insurance so far.

Of course, there's all the masks I've bought since then, OOP. And now the APAP I've bought OOP and PRAY the insurance MIGHT reimburse me SOMETHING for....

You're a very lucky man.
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

United Healthcare paid my Lincare DME yesterday. Date of service 4/18/07. Claim paid @ 100%. Respironics Auto cpap w c-flex and heated humidifier, misc filters and mask (Opus), $2,417.00.

On June 1, 2007 I switched coverage @ work to cheaper plan (=80% DME coverage).

From this point on, everything I buy will be online. It is cheaper to pay online prices for filters hoses and even masks, than to pay 20% of the mark up price DME charges insurance.
