Most nights I sleep in many or all of the above positions; flip-flop, side to stomach to back to side... arms and legs all over the place

Does this make me schizophrenic or well-balanced ??

annie, I was on a ship in the Caribbean surrounded by water, so I didn't even take the humidifier, and I was fine without it. I have occasionally run out of distilled water at home and made do with tap water. As Rainsux said, I just give it a good cleaning anytime I have had to use tap water. I gues...

Interesting. I took my APAP on its first flight last month, from Toronto to New York (LGA). I put it on the conveyer in its carry bag which included the mask hose, and an assortment of odds and ends in the extra pocked. It went through the xray machine, out the other side and I walked away with it, ...

It has been my experience that most negative emotional reactions (including anger) are based on fears. Many people find it easier to express anger than fear. Consider that your husbands reaction to being unable to use his CPAP was fear of the real possibility of heart attack, stroke or even death, a...

Kriminal, I can offer my own experience, for what it's worth. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea 4 years ago, and was sold a REMStar Plus. I wasn't even aware that there were options at the time. I used it on and off for about 6 months, then gave up completely, out of sheer frustration. I didn't feel ...

Yaaay Sharon

I know how long and how hard you have had to push to get a data-capable machine, and I'm thrilled for you that you are finally getting what you want! I hope you can get the new machine quickly and that being able to see what is going on will improve your therapy.

Well done.

Robbie, The cost being charged to the insurance company is certainly highway robbery, but if it makes you feel any better, your math is a little out... you paid a total of $116.38 out of pocket (assuming the numbers are right and the addition was wrong). So you only ended up paying $6.77 more than i...

interesting that they are using a non-profit .org domain name registration for their operation. That dot.org designation is usually reserved for non-profit, non-commercial use not a (.com) commercial site. You can use it for fund raising if the profits are destined to a charity organization. that d...

Hi Packer, I purchased the PurSleep starter pack through ebay as well, and would definitely recommend that as the way to go. By going through an ebay auction, I got it for a few dollars less than advertised on their website, and it's enough to find out whether you even like it or benefit from it. If...

I appreciate the information Will. I wonder if someone could get a reduction in the cpap replacement period if they could demonstrate that their needs had changed in less than five years and now need an apap ?? You must be a very important person if you managed to talk to a live person who actually ...

Hey, that's great Robbie! Way to advocate for yourself . It's nice to know that some docs actually listen to their patients and are willing to humour them even if they don't really believe. I finally understand now about knowing when you wake up whether it was a good night or a bad night. I had two ...

Finally... a question I can answer An xpap is a generic term for any type of positive airway pressure machine; could be a cpap (continuous positive airway pressure), autopap/apap (automatic positive airway pressure) or bi-pap (bi-level -- one level for inhale, one for exhale -- positive airway press...
