chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia anyone?
Just curious if anyone has been diagnosed with either chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia? Still trying to use apap every night but still believing I have other issues that are unfound. And from what I've been reading these are caused from stress and sleep problems and are hard to diagnose. Also what things work to dig yourself out of the hole. I'm taking various vitamins just trying to get some sort of ambition back. But I feel totally exhausted all the time, and do have some joint pain both elbows, neck mostly from when I get up in the morning until its back to bed. I am also seeing my sleep Dr. next week and am going to see if we can do anything different at all!!!
There are a number of things that can cause those symptoms. Make certain your doctor tests for anything that might cause the symptoms you are having. Under active thyroid is not uncommon and is often overlooked. Make sure you get a blood test for TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and go from there. It's a process of eliminatioin that will take some time.

Before my sleep study, I was diagnosed with CFS. I have been on apap since January and feel much better than I did, but still not 100%.
I don't think I've been on pap long enough to determine if the CFS diagnosis was correct or not. I have a lot of symptoms that mimic CFS such as the joint and muscle pains and if I overdo it I'm thrown for a loop.
Definitely make sure that they rule out thyroid, etc. I'm hypothyroid and on levothyroxine, but that is just one of my many problems.
Good luck and I hope you start to feel better soon.

sorry Thomas I should have mentioned as far as Dr.'s go I've been there and had that test...lol I've seen endocronologist, neuroligist, cardiologist, Internal medicine Dr.'s etc.etc. I don't know maybe its a pressure issue with my apap is it possible 5 is too low of a setting on my machine? How many people with severe osa require oxygen with their treatment?
