You all brighten my day!

I can't tell you all how many times I lol when reading the posts put up! I love having others to relate to since I am just starting down the road of masks and cpap talk. You are all so creative. I love reading what is posted. It really brings a smile to my face seeing how humorous OSA can be if we don't take ourselves so seriously all the time. Thanks all for being you!

Hi auntie,

What a beautiful message!
Your compliments to everyone actually cheered ME up!!
I'm up at this ungodly hour after only 3 hours of sleep (not from OSA problems, just from being on the phone REAL late last nite), and just read your message. And you cheered me!

Sure you are new, but actually, so many here haven't been in treatment all that long, relatively speaking. Sure there are some who have been on treatment a long time, but most are newbies or have been on this just a few months.

The whole process of learning what you have, diagnosis, getting treatment, etc. is a scary, frustrating road for most of us. And it often comes after a long period of exhaustion and depression or brain fog. I for one felt incredibly alone when I was diagnosed in November. This forum, when I first found it, was wonderful. A little scary too, for so many people were frustrated with their problems. But there were also successes. And as you said, lots of chuckles and friendliness to cheer me up too. Honest to god, I truly feel this forum has been a lifesaver for me. I have some family and friends, but they don't really relate, as hard as they try. People here understand, and that makes all the difference in the world.

So yes, this is a great place with lots of funny, creative folks. Even the fights and misunderstandings are oddly fun, for it makes it seem quite like a family. I'm glad it's helping you as it has helped me. Hope to hear more from you.

Enjoy your day.

Linda

And if not, at least you've got a few wise-asses on here, whose WIVES can't even believe some of the things they'll post in the name of humor.

Liam, who assumes it's not just his wife.
