How can he get himself to stop turning over on his back?

Post by djdixie » Tue Sep 29, 2009 6:52 pm

My husband tosses and turns quite a bit in his sleep, and when he ends up on his back he snores badly. When he sleeps on his side, he hardly ever snores. He has tried putting a tennis ball in a sock and pinning that to the back of his shirt, but that doesn't work for him. He just sleeps on top of it, still on his back. Any of you have a suggestion for him?

Well if a tennis ball doesn't work, how about a few golf balls in a sock. I can't imagine anyone sleeping on their back with a golf ball underneath them!

Some on here sleep wearing a backpack - one said they stuff it with a pillow.

Use your imagination. I wore a small backpack for 15 months. I am trained well enough that I now wear it only a couple of times per month to reinforce the training.

Yes a sleep study

Other than than that swap out the tennis ball for a golf ball with half a dozen flat head nails in hammered in it

The thought of dieing in my sleep made my 30 years of sleeping on my back disappear quite fast. Now I admit that I sleep propped up on several pillows so I stuffed several behind my back -- that helped the first few nights when I was determined to be a side sleeper.
