Re: Does 10 EEG arousals/hour mean sleep apnea?

Also, remember that the "official" definition of apnea is arbitrary.
(Just a silly number, pulled out of somebody's body cavity.)
And the insurance companies were allowed input to the decision!
WTF!

Re: Resmed S9 ASV "Motor life exceeded"

I would not recommend the Mini for anything but travel.
It has neither the sturdiness nor the sound deadening effect for full time use.
You would likely be alarmed by the noise, and may be relieved when/if it dies early.

Philips' huge pile of money bought them THEIR choice of 'justice'.

That, unfortunately, is all too common these days.

Re: Dispose of a recalled cpap?

Some recalled machines might be used as evidence of intentional misdeeds by the manufacturer, in a court of law. (Should one have the resources to actually do that!) There should have been a provision that the bad machines be held by an impartial third party-- But that never happened--and likely nev...

And if a DME demands your cc or they "cannot do business with you",
get the he// out of there--FAST!
We even had to CANCEL one credit card in order to get rid of repeated unauthorized charges.

Re: Dispose of a recalled cpap?

I am aware of no recalled Resmed cpaps.
The machiness recalled were RESPIRONICS! --Philips-Respironics.
--and the recall meant they wanted them sent in,

Re: Acupuncture and Moderate Sleep Apnea

One century's science is another century's hogwash. Remember "humours", and bloodletting? Things like leeches are the exception, NOT the rule. Acupuncture is not fully understood, but something appears to need examination under the bright light of technology. Maybe another exception? Some evidence f...

Re: Sleeping advice for elbow ulnar nerve issues

See a doctor.
Depending on severity, there are solutions, ranging from PT to surgery.
Only a specialist can address the problem.
I only regret waiting as long as I did,
as G-D Medicare made me wait even longer.

Re: Acupuncture and Moderate Sleep Apnea

"Asking" about "sciences" like acupuncture or chiropractic is a common practice
to "suggest" they are actual legitimate science--without technically making a statement.
It is a common rhetorical tool used in advertising and propaganda.

Rhetoric is often used for evil purposes. Be aware of it!
