New Machine

Post by Nathan C. Morales » Tue Apr 16, 2024 7:10 pm

Hi all,

My machine was used when I got it 8 years ago. I figure it's time for a new one. All the searches say the Resmed Airsense 11 is the one I want.

Any suggestions. I don't need any fancy bells and whistles, just a solid adjustable machine.

What say you?

Are you going to be going through a DME and want to use your insurance or are you just going to buy the new machine yourself?

ResMed is still the way to go but depending on who's paying might influence your machine choice.

Also...if you buy it yourself do you need or care about having a modem phone someone to report what is happening with your therapy.

I don't have insurance so I'll just be paying cash.

This machine above is $499 and it's half the price of the AirSense 11 AutoSet below

What make/model cpap do you have now?

You can save a bunch of cash n grief if you buy whatever model you have now. Hopefully its a Resmed AS 10 auto?
The 11 has nothing you need to pay extra for.

Pugsy musta been typing while I was. She shows you how you could save money.

His profile is showing a Respironics PR System One 560. Even if he wanted one just like it .....Respironics isn't selling any machines in the US now. I wouldn't want any Respironics machine myself what with all that recall mess.

Agreed. But I'm sure you can see I was hoping he has an AS10.

Thank you everyone. I've not been on here much because my machine was working and everything was going well. It looks like I'll buy the cheaper ResMed 10.

Thanks!

You'll be glad you did... the 11 is a dog, get the 10 while you can. If you just use CPAP the Sleeplay deal is hard to beat right now... 299USD for a Airsense 10 Elite (non-APAP) device, no SD card but it *does* include the modem for MyAir/AirView compliance... coupon code BESTPRICE at checkout takes off 500$. If you want the APAP capability but don't mind the missing modem the cpap dot com deal (499$)above is good... it's gone up 50$ in the last week! Both of these will require a prescription but consultations can be arranged... you pay and they write the scrip.
