Re: Is this Medicare Fraud?
At my setup, the therapist determined my size was a medium nose pillow but he took back the small and large ones included in the package. I asked him what he was doing with them and I didn't get a straight answer. A couple of days later they send 5 more mediums in the mail. I noticed my 20% copay f...

Re: Strange Flow Charts
I believe it would be more pronounced in biPAP, active EPR or similar, but if you've got something other than that for show and tell, stick it up here.

https://i.imgur.com/xiBcB0c.jpg These 5 signals are flow, thoracic effort. abdominal effort, pressure and don't worry about the bottom one. I call this breathing pattern machine chatter or double clutching or 2clutch. You are welcome to call it whatever you want. In the effort channels, it is clear...

Cause you might be missing detail on these graphs if you're looking at a 1 by 2 inch image.

Re: Strange Flow Charts
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x256/sleepydave/epr.jpg Hmmm. There's an inspiratory effort there that doesn't trigger end of EPR. That quirk was also noted in the initial observations in October 2005. Time sure slips by fast, don't it? So does the the ol' memory... This is like going through ol...

Re: Strange Flow Charts
Then I would think about if EPR is really creating an issue. Seems to me the reporting of EPR on these graphs isn't quite as helpful as it could be. It only reports what's set, not when it's actually active (or more important, when it's suspended). Just sayin'. Don't the two pressure lines show you...

That would only happen if you were taking antidepressants.
Like cymbalta.

Re: Strange Flow Charts
In a kind of a "duh" experiment, these guys set up an AirSense 10 at 10.8 cmH20 w/EPR @ 3 cmH2O and a machine to generate apneas @ 9.0 cmH2O.
Lo and behold, apneas appeared!
Who woulda thunk?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4773618/
Wonder why they just didn't use 11.0 cmH2O?

Re: Strange Flow Charts
Here's some irony. The guy that's trying to explain EPR is the one that doesn't understand it: https://myapnea.org/forum/not-understand-epr-setting Is effective pressure reduced? Totally wrong. Hyperventilate patients? Really doubt it as PS of +3, although maybe it is a little bipappy, would simply ...

Re: Strange Flow Charts
However, even with treated AHI's of <1.5 more often than not, I continually see large periods of time where my breathing looks really odd and irregular. Oh right! Your original question! To be it looks like CB and/or machine chatter (depending on which "odd and irregular" period you're referring to...
