Re: My Airsense 10 Autoset leaked water

When I received my AirSense 10, my DME provided me with an extra humidifier tank.

I thought that was unusual, and asked why. She indicated those are typically the first thing that requires replacing. She indicated that often it is because they are removed, moved about, and dropped.

Re: New to forum...first night questions

Hi gabagoo, I'm in Ontario as well and I just went through the process of using a loaner and purchasing my own machine. IMHO don't focus so much on the package, instead make sure you get the right machine. I was titrated on a ResMed AirSense 10 Auto For Her , but the clinic wanted to order me a ResM...

Re: Help me remember how to test my machine's pressure

Here's a Youtube video that shows how to test the actual pressure without filling your tube with much water.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcBDu8dKgLk

I've never tried it, perhaps one of the more experienced members could comment on it's accuracy.

Re: Airfit N20 Nasal - Pillow Settings?

Testing to Zonker This is an old historic post, that I've just uploaded a pic into into. I asked my sleep tech about setting the N20 Nasal mask to to Pillows instead of the more intuitive Nasal setting. She contacted ResMed and got back the following. Resmed's response: Hi Xxxxxxxxx, Yes the mask se...

Airfit N20 Nasal - Pillow Settings?

I noticed in the Resmed AirFit N20 user manual, it says to set the configuration of your device to "Pillows" instead of "Nasal". This doesn't make sense to me, I've been using the mask configured as Nasal, originaly configured by my sleep tech. How many N20 users have there devices configured as Pil...

I think he's been bouncing around with the humidity setting each night and not giving the mucosa a chance to return to normal.
This is exactly what I've been doing.

Have we already stated that higher humidity levels cause congestion in many people?
Yes, in another thread though.

Thus, I'll be trying a lower setting. Still not sure if I should abruptly setting it back down, or slowly bringing it down

Re: Cumulative irritation and humidity

Thank you for all the tips. Here's where I'm at with my device. The AutoSet machine I'm using is a loaner and I'm working with my DME Sleep tech to provide data for my Sleep Study Dr. The first two weeks the machine was set to APAP (7-13 cm H2O) The last two weeks based on my data, the machine was c...

Re: Cumulative irritation and humidity

My first two weeks on the device went very well, then when I increased the humidity up a notch to address the dry nose the congestion started. Do you mean the first two weeks went very well except for dry nasal passages? Yes What does your leak line look like? I'll put together some graphs and post...

Re: Cumulative irritation and humidity

Aside from changing settings..which you have already done...what do you expect us to suggest. See your doctor, use a nasal rinse, use a heated hose! One of the things I was wondering was: When trying new humidifier settings, how long should I try that value before trying a new setting? I just don't...

Cumulative irritation and humidity

I've been using CPAP for a month now and I'm looking for advice to help me find the best humidity settings for me using Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet Airfit N20 Nasal mask 13 cmH20 I read The FAQ on CPAP.COM: https://www.cpap.com/cpap-faq/Common-Side-Effects.html#faq-tab and read about Cumulative Irrit...

Re: Congestion and buying a spare FF mask

Do the best you can for now if you are coming down with a cold. Treat the symptoms like you normally would treat the symptoms and you can decide later if you feel the need for a full face mask for the times when you have a bad cold or allergies or whatever. And don't use Afrin - it rebounds very qu...
