Question on Resmed Spirit menus

Post by SleepyGuy » Sat Nov 06, 2004 3:37 pm

I have a Resmed Spirit AutoPAP. According to the manual it has two sets of menus, short and detailed. The detailed menus allow you to see how you did the night before, including the number of apneas, hypopneas, average pressure, etc.. The unit even comes with a small diary for recording this. The short menus don't allow you to do this.

Mine is set to the short menus. It won't allow me to change to the detailed menus. I want to see this information! I'm not the type that will panic over little things or change anything I don't understand. If I'm doing better by sleeping in one position over another, I want to know this, so I can try to sleep that way.

Is there a cheat code of some kind for changing this or do I have to bring it back to the place I got it?

If your doctor is willing, try to get him to tell your DME to give you the clinician's manual. They probably gave you only the "user" manual. It seems to be customary for health care providers to keep the clinician's manual and guard the secret of how to get into the detailed menu (as if we are children!). I purchased my machine (different type than yours) online - it came with both manuals...user's and clinician's.

Perhaps someone who is reading your post will send you a private message or email about how to access the detailed menu on the ResMed Spirit autopap.

If you can't get any instructions elsewhere there are people that sell these on eBay.

Good Luck!

Hold the right and down keys down together for 4 seconds.
