I have found that the best FF mask for side sleepers is the Resmed Mirage Series 2. I have the Ultra Mirage too but the forehead support bar constantly gets pushed by my pillow causing mask leaks. Anyone know of a better FF mask for side sleepers?

Re: FFM Side Sleeper
Hello All; I haven't gotten my machine yet, but I figure if I ask the questions now, the better chance that I can work with what I get without repeatedly going back to the drawing board . . . or at least be that much closer to what I really need in the beginning. I was curious to know from the side...

I slept with FL1 off last night for the first time and had no runaway pressures and I also seem to have also slept alot better, I'm feeling very "energized" today. LarryJ, that's really good news . How did your overall AHI look? I know UKnowWhatInSeattle planned a follow-up trip to his pulmonologis...

thank you
Chris Wading and Janelle,
Thank you very much for the info! It helped me greatly to better understand my apnea. My shallow breathing is where I think my problem was.
thanx again,
Larry

420E setting question
On the 420E what is the flow limitation (FL) setting for? I believe this will help with a problem I'm having. I am new to apap (just switched from cpap )and set the range for 6-20, but what's happening is I awake in the morning or sometimes at night and the pressure is up around 15, now since im awa...

Respironics Remstar Auto with C-Flex using these settings: Pressure set at 6 -12 C-flex set at "3" and a heated humidifier Be sure he doesn't order just "an autopap" and especially not just "cpap with C-Flex ". Have him prescribe that specific machine only. I just got the PB 420E and it is a very g...

Re: Changed APAP Pressures....Not So Good Results
Hopefully my software will arrive in a few days (it's on back-order. C'mon, cpap.com , don't let me down now! LOL) and I will be able to see something on the computer. (I'm kind of a computer geek and new software, especially on something like this, gives me shivers of anticipation!! LOL) I just go...

Re: Oral CPAP masks
I have tried nasal masks & pillows. Could not get good seal from either. An oral mask by Fisher & Paykel has been suggested. Does anyone have experience with these? What are the pros & cons? Thanks for your help. I just got one today with my new apap, so I'll be trying it out for the first time ton...

I'm getting the 420E w/ humidifier and software from cpap.com Larry J, First, I would listen to rested gal. She puts a lot of thought and effort into finding effective treatment for herself. I would set the auto at 6cm min 14cm max. I recommended a little higher at the top end than rested gal becaus...

Thanx for the info. I think my ramp starts at 4 then goes to 10 in about 20-30 min I'm not a doctor, or anything at all in the health care field. Just an autopap user. If it were me, I'd probably set the range at 5 or 6 or 7 for the low (whatever I felt was giving me enough air for comfort) and 12 f...

I am switching from a cpap to an apap this week and would like to know what I should set it for. Right now on my cpap they have me set at a pressure of 10 cm with a ramp up. Based on my sleep study info below what should my settings be? Also how does my study compare to others here? First half of st...

Re: I Do Want Surgery...Who Or Where are the Best Dr,s Aroun
You will find that most people who get the surgery still require a cpap afterwards just at a lower pressure. My tonsils were removed when I was 14 and I still have a fairly large soft palate. At home I use an Auto-Cpap machine...Does any one know the name or names of the best Dr.s for this surgery? ...
