Re: New User— Forgot my Water tray
For the Dreamstation you can use it without the humidifier same with the ResMed 10 machines except you'll need the side cover in its place if you don't have the chamber ...

The Respironics DreamStation machines have a removable humidifier so you can simply detach the entire humidifier and should be able to attach your hose to the blower.
I have not seen one to confirm but if you can attach the hose to the blower unit it will work.
I don't think it will work without the water chamber in place and humidifier attached but if it will you can turn the humidifier off so that the heating plate won't generate any heat.

Re: New User— Forgot my Water tray
The only wrinkle with removing the entire humidifier is that the hose might not easily connect to the place the air comes out of the blower.
With some of the past Respironics machines if you removed the humidifier a little plate with a nipple sort of thing was needed to attache the long hose to the blower.
I have not seen a DreamStation at all much less without the humidifier to see if it needs anything else or not.
You can request the manual here and see what it looks like and how to separate the blower from the humidifier.

Re: New User— Forgot my Water tray
I can verify it works, I did use it this way when on the AUTO BiLevel (DreamStation) they had me on for that one week.. I was using the heated hose too .. the connection is the same...

Re: New User— Forgot my Water tray
I know I've said this many times before, but by now it's buried in old postings.
Every CPAP user should have a dedicated CPAP packing list and keep it in the carrying case that came with the machine. It's too easy to forget components if you don't.
Also, in the event of an unplanned hospitalization, somebody else might have to pack you CPAP.
