S9 DC to DC convertors: ResMed S9 DC VS BiXPower for Backpacking

I purchased the ResMed S9 DC Cord Converter - Part #36970 which was 82$ and weighs 2.5lbs. Azon: https://amzn.to/2kgaSKP
then I saw this one: BiXPower 12V to 24V DC to DC Power Converter for S9, costs 56$ and weights only 6OZ! Azon: https://amzn.to/2KHxten

in the backpacking world weight is always something to lose.

I was wondering if anyone has used the BiXPower converter and how did it do?
I'm thinking about returning the one I got to get this one.

saving 2 lbs is a lot of weight.

I don't know about the BiXPower, but the ResMed converter weighs 1 lb 10 oz, so the difference is a bit over a pound.

yes you are right, I was weighing the whole box. But the questions still stands.
Any experience with it?

Maybe it's because quality and reliability weight more. Jim

You could have bought a 12 volt compatible XPAP, if you have a off the grid gene. No adapter needed no added weight.

Our host also sells converters and if I were in the market for one I
might be tempted to get the one that offers a lot of ways to hook
the 12v power up .

It's the same thing.

I don't have the light one, can't comment on that, but the 'real' one works well.

You might have to be the guinea pig and try out the light one. :D
