So how common is it to have centrals as apart of SWJ? I only ask because I don't get them and if it was a very common issue I would expect to see it more in people's charts here.

It seems to happen more when somebody is having difficulty sleeping. For example, somebody is tossing and turning, sick, or getting used to the machine. We tend to hold our breath as we roll over and move around.

For somebody who is used to cpap, and feels okay; they probably aren't going to have much in the way of sleep wake junk. I'm usually out within 10 minutes, so that doesn't give much time to toss and turn. The only time I see more than a couple open airway events is when I am sick.
