Anyone use the Resmed s9 Vpap TX?

Post by cpap626 » Sun May 20, 2018 1:15 pm

I saw a really good deal on a resmed s9 vpap tx. It looks like it does everything from autopap to avs. It has an adapter to hook it up the a computer for realtime monitoring by sleep techs. My question is, can I use it like a regular cpap or asv machine without hooking it up to a computer? Can I access the clinical menu via the machine like the regular resmed machines? I see it has an alarm on it which is odd.

Thanks!

I've got one, It doesn't record any data to the SD card.

Yes, you can use it like any machine that Resmed makes, but you won't have any data, except what the EasyCareTX records through the Tx Link.

Yes, you get to the clinical menu the same as any other S9.

The fun thing with it is that you can switch modes and settings while using it.

it's got an alarm module because the VPAP COPD and VPAP ST-A have those, and it won't work without the alarm module attached.

What version of EasyCareTx does it have with it?

i have a vpap but its not the auto one and I want to dial down the settings more on the epap setting. I was hoping this would be great, it just comes wiht a dongle that plugs into the back of the computer. It doesnt come with the big box thing I have seen in others. Is it not worth buying then since it does not record data? I see it has a card slot, does that just do compliance hours?

If you mean the tx link, then no, don't get it...

the way the Tx hooks up is Tx, > usb adapter > tx link > ethernet cable > computer.

It would be possible to write some software to allow hooking the usb adapter to the computer, but that's now how it's designed to work.

The normal setup is vpap tx and txlink in the patient room, sensors plugged into the tx link. txlink hooked up to the clinic network.

monitoring station somewhere else, also hooked up to the network, connects to the txlink through the network and remotely records/controls the vpap tx
