Seems to fit fine and the tapered head eliminates the need for an insulating washer. Drywall screws are up there with ducttape and bailing wire in the pantheon of fixit!

Re: BEEP..BEEP Service Required on PR 550P
I know this is an old thread but this has just started happening to me. I tried this fix but ran into something I've not seen mentioned here: when I lift the top from the case the circuit board comes up too and stays with the lid. It is loose but does not come completely off. I assume the board should have stayed down. I'm not sure what's holding it up (on/off control knob maybe?) and I'm certainly not about to pry too hard on it. Any ideas?

How long have you had this machine, and what are the total run hours?
You might be able to replace it with a gently used unit for less than the cost to repair it.

It's the only one I've had - probably 8 years or more. I don't know how to read hours or any of the data on the card for that matter. My insurance is a pain so I was hoping when I saw this thread that I might have found an easy, inexpensive fix.
