Air sense p10

Post by Addie » Tue May 08, 2018 12:34 pm

I have had a new resmed airsense p10 since December. All is pretty good. The first month I had it I turned it on and off by hand each morning and night. Then it started to go off automatically when I took my mask off.
They tell me this is normal but I still wonder why it did not do this my first 2-3 weeks.
Now they also tell me that I can just put the mask on at night and start breathing and I never have to actually hit the on button on top of machine. I have been now turning it on this way and off it goes when I take off mask.

Just wanted to check here , is this what everyone does here.

Second question...I have been using the heated tube and find it very heavy and always falling back towards machine.
Last night for first time I switched to the regular tube and had a much better night. No fighting with the tube. How much of a difference do you think it makes re humidity if I use reg. Tube versus heated.

Thanks for any help

The "auto on" feature must be enabled. If you would rather turn it on/off by yourself..disable that feature. Humidity is a comfort feature..the amount you need from the machine depends on the time of year and your location.

I've got a clock sitting on top of my power button, I haven't hit it in years.

Smartstart is a lovely thing.

The "auto on" feature
"Smartstart".

Thanks all, I guess I am the only one that did not know about smartstart.

Now about humidity, do I get the same amount of humidity whether using the heated tube or other tube.
I thought I would and only difference is one is heated. Let me know if I am wrong .

Thanks

With the heated tube, there is a setting for the machine to set the humidity & temperature (climate) automatically.
The humidity is set manually without the heated tube but can be set to the same level.

Yes, you just need the clinical menu. To get there, press and hold (at the same time) the Home button and the big round nob. The clinical menu will show up on your screen and you can navigate through many more settings than are available on the regular settings menu.

Thanks , I found it now. I Went in and changed my tube to standard rather than climate. But I left my humidity level at 4 which is what it was at. Is that ok.
Thanks

You can change what the user wanted without the clinical menu.
