On my Swift FX, I put one pair of covers on the sides, where they want you to;
and the other set on the top part, nesting the ends together over the buckle.
Works pretty good--and almost no work involved.
I think Pad-a-Cheek's cover is all one piece--fleece, too, if I'm not mistaken.

Nap_ster, I have pretty thick hair, not short but not long. I have to wear the mask fairly tightly (I've tried loosening it up but all that does is cause leaks for me), so I'm getting a permanent groove or big wave right in the middle of the top of my head, mixed in with a few curls in the same area from the straps.

Squid, trust me, the thought has crossed my mind! But I really would prefer to keep my hair.

I have found that loosening the top strap has stopped my leaks ...I barely have it touching the top of my head. I had prevously used a length of polyester lace remnant bought at WalMart to use to drape over my head so the stress was spread out but not hot on my head. The best thing I've found yet to minimize leaks is to have my hose through a hose clip pinned to my nightgown so it moves with me and doesn't come out of alignment with my nose.

This problem is extremely disturbing for me. I have medium length, fine, natural wavy/curly hair. The headgear of all masks flatten, tangle, and break my hair. My hair was my crowning glory my whole life and now it looks pretty awful 75% of the time. Only when I have just washed, styled and diffused it dry to bring back the curl and volume does it look good. And that's a project. A cap would only work if you wear your hair straight. I once tried the Tap Pap...a "mask" that doesn't touch your face or head anywhere. It is held in by your teeth. It was by far the best CPAP experience I ever had but the part that forms to your teeth has such a grip that you have to be very careful pulling it off if you have any crowns, veneers, or whatever in you mouth. I do and I couldn't take a chance of pulling them out. If the Tap Pap people could come up with a mouth guard piece that didn't keep tightening around your teeth from the heat in your mouth I think it would be everybody's favorite mask.

The Tap Pap mouthpiece can be reheated and remolded as many times as you need.
I found that the fit can be looser if it is wiggled a little before it cools.
It is still not a great idea to use this mask with fragile dental work.
My suggestion would be to use a skull cap under the headgear,
because mashing is not as destructive, and you can fluff your hair in the morning.
I wish I had wavy hair . . . Enjoy it.

I' m having this difficulty as well.I have short curly hair, but my curls aren't very "hardy" - they get created by a good cut and great products. In the past I"ve only had to wash & dry my hair twice a week, and that also keeps it healthier. But now I have the worst bed head ever, every morning. On a very rare mornning I can spray it with a curl revitalizer and make it look decent. Most of the time it looks awful. I started wearing a satin sleep cap hoping to improve things , it's different but now the whole head of hair gets flattened and "fluffing" it just makes it frizzy and look like I stuck my finger in a socket. I just started using c-pap last ,onth and I honestly think I'm going to be trying a mouthpiece instead. I never had symptoms (tiredness etc) from my apnea, just bad snoring that keeps my partner up. Hoping the dental appliance works for me (doc didn't think it was likely to work as well). I also wake up several times during the night & sometimes am awake for long periods, something that didn't happen previously.

Links to products in the older replies on this subject of hair no longer work so if anyone has new suggestions it sure would be appreciated

I am in the same boat. I have dense wavy hair that I straighten and now I have developed a ridge in the back of my hair. I can’t even get it out with a flat iron. Very annoying. I bought a cheap satin sleep cap at Walgreens and will give it a try but it’s just another ridiculous thing to wear.

Put a thin scarf on under the straps... and let us know how it went.

I've tried using a silk cap - helps things somewhat, but hair ends up very flat & can be hard to perk it up

Wow that's an interesting development. I wonder how my skin would react to nightly adhesive strips. Not doing so well with silicone. Nasal pillow created an open sore under my nose, and the mask (small triangular over nose) gave me a rash and a hige zit.

Honestly I'm thinking about trying the dental appliance.
