Pressure Support (PS) is the difference between the inhale pressure (IPAP) and the exhale pressure (EPAP). With your settings, the IPAP pressure will be between 14 and 20 cm pressure. Your EPAP pressure will be between 10 and 167 cm pressure. When you complete the inhale portion of your breathing cycle, the pressure will drop 4 cm to make it easier to exhale. Then, when you finish exhaling, the pressure will go 4 cm when you inhale. It will continue to repeat this cycle over and over as you breath.
