My favorite part about this thread... that it has about 25 posts and over 10,200 views.
If you look at the forum log, you will see one pervert has viewed it 10,167 times.

I sure those are guests searches from google CG... Are you just trying to shame or be obtuse? Those are from 1000's of google searches that this thread probably helped out. Turn the troll knob down on your chassy CG...
Google searches don't hit the forum, only if someone clicks on the link and comes here to the page.

Yes, I realize that. didn't realize I needed to spell it out, but I guess I should have considering CG's comment.
Instead of Sleep apnea it should be called "Sleep deprivation, starving of oxygen, being poisoned by high CO2 levels, damaging the body and brain while it's supposed to be healing so that you constantly get worse and can never get healthy Apnea"

Yes, a spider is the biggest pervert of all.
No doubt, the FCC spider!

Yes, I know it's a very old thread. But it was a very inactive thread until recently, too.

Let's all calm down a bit.

The views on this thread continue to rocket up, though. Since I mentioned the view count, it's now over 10,400. I know other threads get a lot of views in a hurry, too. But still, the ratio of posts to views on this is incredible. And like was mentioned, this thread is the reason I'm here at all. And I'm grateful that someone posted so many years ago. I became a lot more optimistic about my situation after reading the experience of others. I've been thinking about typing up my story in here. I'll probably get to it later. But I can say now that after two weeks on CPAP now, I'm feeling a lot better than I was before that and I'm back to the condition that I was last year. At age 42, I can't really complain about this. But I'm also optimistic that things will get a bit better after having read what some others said after a couple of months of using CPAP.

Seems like a strange thing or you to go into a rant over, especially when you're wrong.

Just got diagnosed with SA. ED might be related but it is a different issue. I got tested and found my T levels were way low. Got therapy, back to normal. I had no other symptom than low libido/desire.

I'm starting to wonder about my testosterone levels. And I believe I can boost it naturally with some exercise. I definitely need to become more active and lose some weight in general.

Well ... just click the Back button .... and don't come back to this thread!

Ok ... guess I can make a contribution now ... but parental discretion is advised ... so click the back button if it is waaaaay too much.

When I was in my late teens-early 20's I used to wake up with morning wood just about every morning. By the time I was in my late 20's to early 30's it only occured about once every two or three days. During my late 30's it was more like every other week. After turning 40, I was obviously having ED problems and my doc put me on Cialis.

Since going on CPAP a little over a month ago I have woken up with morning wood at least twice a week and its becoming more frequent. As I understand it, it is likely due to an improvement in my circulatory system plus lots more REM sleep time ... yep lotsa dreams lately. I have not used Cialis at all this month and I have plenty of energy ... wife is pleased and so am I.

I admit that I've been a little frustrated with how things have been progressing with me. There has been SOME progress. I guess I didn't read Roberto's experience so closely. So I guess I'm just happy to read that his progress took a bit longer than I originally thought.

In an earlier time, I ran stress management workshops. I commenced with some teaching each session, part of which involved relating to the participants that prolonged exposure to stress raises serum levels of cortisol chronically. This has many deleterious effects, including suppression of the immune system, loss of sexual interest, loss of relationship interest, loss of interest in other favourite pursuits/hobbies/interests, and so on. I would also say, against any sensible hope, that the single greates stress buster, apart from deleting the stressor itself, is to participate in aerobic exercise of some kind most days. If your weight is also a confounding factor in your health, increasing activity and maintaining current eating habits/calorific consumption will help bring down your weight................AND help to bust up that stress response some. You might find your testosterone levels rising, or you might find yourself responding more positively to sexual stimuli with your levels as they currently are minus the other draws-down on your energy and enthusiasm because they are mitigated.

mesenteria, I certainly appreciate your input and expertise. I do certainly need to increase my physical activity. I'm in a tough situation where I'm in my early 40s and have 2 little kids. It's difficult to find time to get to the gym or exercise at all. I'm confident that working out, both aerobics and weights, will help me boost things.

So, I'm just now past my first month of being back on CPAP. (4 weeks and a couple of days since Apr 13.) I say that I've had some improvement compared to where I was before this, but not quite the miracle pill results I've been hoping for. I am started to make a more concerted effort to exercise again. Once upon a time in the glory days, I could run a 5:45 mile in high school. And in my mid-30s I could run a 5K in just under 30 minutes. Right now, I can barely jog around the circle that I live on (which is probably less than a quarter of a mile.) So I definitely have some work to do in the fitness area.

My cholesterol is up, but my doctor didn't prescribe any medication when i saw him in January. I figure my issues are due to my not using the CPAP for so long and just becoming so sedentary and overweight.

So I'm coming up on 8 weeks of CPAP use this week. I've made progress but not particularly where I'd like to be. I suppose I'm at an average baseline for some 40+-year-olds, but I definitely need to make a better effort of getting more exercise.

It's amazing how your motivation changes when certain things start to not work so well. I hated CPAP, but I'm back on it now.
