Upgrading to System one 60

Post by Ruinednose » Tue Apr 24, 2018 3:16 pm

It's an upgrade for me, coming from a bipap system one 50 series.. I got this used with less than 100 hrs on it, but as you can see in the pictures this thing has been aging in someone's drawer for some years? The silicone parts in the humidifier chamber has a yellow tint to it, they obviously need to be replaced, I'm in the process of finding the parts for it.

Now is there anything else I need to replace? It all turns on and runs, blower barely used... Any of it or barely used. Any suggestions? I don't have insurance this is the only way for me to upgrade to a newer model.

My old 50 system on bipap is 2012 and has been used daily for minimum 7 hrs ever since. So it's bound to go out and die. I can't handle 1 night without bipap. Please guide and suggest my friends

If it is too expensive to repair here is one of the new Bi-PAP Vauto xpaps for sale on this forum.

the color of the silicone doesn't matter as much as whether they're still supple and seal well,

That said, here's a couple of the seals: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Dry-Bo ... ifier.html I didn't see the lid seal, but it's probably available with a little hunting too.

I shouldn't think there's any other issues, clean the tank, replace the filters.

What does the water chamber look like?
I think I have a new spare that needs to find a new home.

Thank you all for the links, ordering right now

Water chamber was disgusting, I threw it away, will the chamber on my 750 machine be ok to use on this?

Alternatively, would my. Humidifier section of my. 50 machine work on this or no?

Humidifier chambers are pretty cheap at cpap.com.

The water chamber from your 50 series machine will work but the humidifier itself isn't compatible.
The blower side of the 60 series won't know how to act with a 50 series humidifier...they aren't compatible.
But the water chamber itself should work just fine.

Thanks so much, looks like all I need to do is replace the silicone parts to the humidifier section.

Any way to sanitize the blower?

You'd have to disassemble the machine, and even then, you can't get to the inner bits of the blower itself.

I wouldn't even bother trying, if I were you. There's nothing in there that needs sanitizing.

Yes, you can use the old SD card and you don't have to do anything special to it.
The machine stores the data in a folder on the SD card under the serial number and it doesn't care if there is another such folder on the card.
SleepyHead doesn't care either. You can use the same user profile and the new machine will just show up under the "change in prescription" area at the bottom of the main summary page.
