This looks reasonable, perhaps cheap because the cover doesn't fit.

I'm traveling now, I'll have more to say tomorrow.

also wondering about needing an SOC, which they are recommending.
So on top of battery,

charger for $69
$50 SOC: A State-Of-Charge Gauge With Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) Function
$9 for balancer

wondering for the SOC with LVD, is this standard to purchase on top of a lifep04 to keep it healthy, or are some being sold with this feature included (e.g., part of battery itself)?

I would have tried it before sending it back so I would know if it an option or not.

Some mentioned in this thread that they were using the poweradd to power the m series respironics at 16 volts. I am wondering if this is dangerous to the machine, which normally takes 12 volts, have read in other threads that this might not be a great idea. Perhaps with the poweradd, though, it works OK. Any thoughts on this? My m series works on 12 volts, but occassionally shuts off when pressure too high I think; at 16 volts (tried for 30 seconds), it powered the machine when unrestrained (blower at full when turned on). I don't want to use it at 16 volts longer without confirmation from an electrically knowledgeable person that this would be OK.

update on 2nd poweradd (returned first one): works good on 12 volt output, 12.5 pressure at the top of auto setting.
update on maxoak: could not get to work

Apologies for bumping an old thread. I haven't been on here in awhile since I feel pretty much sorted with CPAP (knock wood).

Once again, thanks to all who offer expertise here. I bought the PAPP after reading this thread and did about two months of bicycle touring last spring. I used a Respironics BiPAP auto 750p and left the humidifier at home.

I usually slept about 8h and it would last 3 nights running at 16v. I didn't get too far afield so I would recharge or top off when I stopped for lunch or coffee and overnight when I stayed in hotels or with warmshowers hosts (1-2 nights/week).

Apart from a similar experience with Amazon in that I got a lemon at first, the setup was pretty much trouble free and both the machine and battery seem fine now.

Good luck with your travel setups and don't let the CPAP keep you from camping!

Howdy everyone. I came across this thread a few days before I was scheduled to depart for a multi-day camping expedition in Death Valley. Based upon the information I read here, I went ahead and ordered a Poweradd Pilot Pro 32000mAh battery so I could run my CPAP out in the desert. Unfortunately, it arrived about 30 minutes after I left. However, upon returning yesterday, I decided to test it out. I have a REMStar Auto 560P. As mentioned by other users, the J adapter fits perfectly. The battery came with a 51% charge and I did not have time to top it off before going to bed. The default power setting was 20V, which caused an error when connecting to my CPAP. I reduced to 9V, which worked initially, but caused the CPAP to shut down after a minute or two. After that, I bumped it up to 12V, which worked perfectly. The battery ran my CPAP with humidifier all night (about 9 hours) and still had 4% remaining. I will run some more experiments once I get it charged up, but being able to get even two full days of use out of it is extremely impressive. If I run it without the humidifier and maybe adjust the pressure settings, I can probably get 3-4 days out of it. I just wanted to add one more success story to this thread for anyone who is looking for a CPAP power supply and is on the fence about purchasing this one.
