Hmmm . . . makes one wonder. There has been a spate of recent newspaper articles heralding the development of robotic companions, some of them with capabilities and enhancements that are at least a little disturbing. One wonders how much will people become emotionally invested in something that is, after all, only a collection of hardware, controlled by programmable software, if they get all sentimental about the demise of their CPAP.

Now, I realize all that was tongue in cheek. However, as Will Rogers said, "It don't take all kinds. But we got 'em."

Interesting...

Last night when I plugged my machine in, the humidifier wouldn't turn on. After several tries I whapped it on the side and the light came on indicating that it was working.

This morning I took my mask off, and the machine shut off. This is normally what I would expect since I have auto on/off selected. Since the machine shut off I decided to see if I could download my data. The download was successful but the results were unusual.

The amount of time in use was extremely fragmented. It showed about 2 hours of a total of 8 hours of run time. My AI is normally around 0.5 or less and it was up to 5.4. The large leaks from removing the mask and letting the machine run did not show.

Tonight I will don my mask and see if the machine will turn on...

I made it!

I now have a new Airset 10 For Her and am setting it up. I took a short nap and it seems to work fine.

I am looking forward to my new "friend..."

I hate to admit I still have my old M series, she's wrapped in a kitchen bag and sitting on the top shelf of my closet.... never to breath again
I just could not toss her in the trash after the good service she gave me all those years :( :( :( .
