What am I looking at?

Post by DankShroud » Wed Apr 11, 2018 11:49 am

I'll continue this discussion in a new topic, where hopefully I'll get some fresh input and this won't be buried. Basically, I suspected that obstructive events (not long or severe enough to be scored by the CPAP as full blown apneas) were causing me to wake up and have sleep/wake/junk central apneas. The conventional solution was more pressure, so last night I slept wearing a cervical collar, tongue restraining device, backpack (to keep me on my side) and the pressure set to the maximum 20-20cm. Sleepyhead is showing a lot of disruptions, and I'm clueless as to what they actually are. Could they be sub-obstructive apneas, pressure-induced centrals, random arousals, sleep/wake/junk precipitated by a sub-obstructive or respiratory effort-related arousals? Maybe someone experienced in interpreting sleepyhead could please weigh in. I tried to include various different-looking events to paint an accurate picture of last night, so don't worry about the data not being representative.

Here's last night's overview:

You should be looking at finding a new doctor.
Good luck. Bye.

I can't. I don't have the resources. This is the only way I can hopefully move forward in my treatment.
