That's ok pug, everyone can make a mistake, You do a lot of good on the forum. I would use the open forum and not the PM system though. It's up to you.
Actually it's up to the OP and not me. I will do either way.
It's up to him to post his reports and not me. It's up to him to make any public discussion.
He did send me a copy of his SD card and I did plug it into my Sleepyhead so that I could see the flow rate and stuff but I don't post other people's stuff unless they can't do it themselves and they specifically request me to do it....that's up to them if they want to share it or not.

But sometimes when dealing with newbies...it's best to not have too many cooks in the kitchen if you know what I mean.
Especially when the cooks are as stubborn and bull headed as you and I are.

People do ask. It's up to you whether you give advice over the PM, I tell the few people who have asked me questions by PM, to post a thread and I will reply on it.

Yeah, well that's your choice but not mine. Some people don't want to be public for whatever reason and I respect that.
I am not going to refuse help because they don't want to be public. Just not going to happen.
I get on average 2 or 3 a week "can you help...I don't want to post on the forum because of blah, blah".
Whatever their reason...good enough for me.
If it's something I don't think I can handle..I am up front about it.

Your choice though, isn't it. I would guess it's a total of a dozen people for me, they all posted a thread. It depends how you reply and the reasons you suggest a thread. There is one I'm on now that came from a PM.

I don't question the reason. I don't need a reason either. I just try to answer the question.
And I have been in those same shoes...getting help privately because I wanted it to be private and that's good enough for me.
Sometimes it's just not the whole wide world's business what gets discussed privately.

It's an annon forum, no one knows who we are. we can say anything. I murdered my mother and father, burnt the house down and sold the dog.

That's good, since you have no clue what the limits of your knowledge are.

I'm sure that the people over on apneaboard appreciate you far more than people here do.

That's yet another reason Pugsy is a better person than you.

She can admit mistakes, and learn from them. She doesn't act like she knows everything.

We are not necessarily 100% anonymous here.
It all depends on what we share online, in PM, or elsewhere.
The bots remind me of that all the time.

Wow this thread really took a turn....all I have to say is everyone has been very supportive. Pugsy has been such a help on being patient with all my newbie questions and I will continue to pm her because I trust her and I dont want to bore people with the same questions over and over again.
