Troubleshooting

Post by btmontal » Mon Apr 09, 2018 5:24 pm

Hi everyone,

I've been running into problems taking off my mask at night and not remembering doing so. To give a bit of context, I have a history of sleep walking, sleep eating, etc so this isn't a big surprise to me, but it's pretty frustrating. I have no idea what is triggering me to take it off and I've been doing so earlier in the night as of late. My sleep specialist hasn't been much help, nor have the sleep technicians I've spoken with. I never have a problem falling asleep with the mask on, its just a matter of keeping it on. I've tried a four different masks (nasal, full face, and nasal pillows) but I've had the most success with the N20 with a chin strap. I've tried taping my mask to my face, but my barely conscious self is too capable of getting around it.

I recently downloaded sleepyhead to try to figure out what is going on, but I'm not sure what to make of the data. Does anyone have any thoughts? Graphs are below.

Many people have reported success with taping the mask to their face so that it's uncomfortable to pull it off... once your sleeping self gets used to it, it's not an issue.

Also, don't use the 'img' tag on anything that's not actually an image. and, check your posts with the preview button,

your image links didn't work.
