Portable Power Generator
Really, it generates nothing. Its just a big bucket of electrons (sort of). Love to know how long it takes to charge off a 110v outlet or is this like a Tesla and you really need a 220 circuit at home to really get any juice into it. :)

Midland was a Radio Shack brand.
Radio Shack is dead.
What are the odds that there is no support or warranty service?
Probably pretty good . . .
Anybody recall the nickname for Radio Shack?
Radio . . . (wait for it) . . . Sh_t.
Yep. Don't wonder why, kids.

It really isn't that big, power-wise. Its smaller than a 100 AH lead acid, which is 1200 watt-hours. My boat battery bank has as much power as the 6-pack, for about one tenth the cost. A big car battery charger could get it it up to 80% in a few hours, topping off would be overnight. A Tesla battery is much bigger, up to about 100 time bigger!

And Maybe "BOOM", I'm sure for that price they have a 10 cent fuse in there somewhere! They will allow you to buy a 6 pack of them! Are you sure you don't want a Telsa Power Wall? Jim

It says it charges from 110 volt, or 12 volt auto power or solar panel sold extra, I tried to find it but it wasn't listed on site. Midland isn't a fly by night, I've used their transmitters for 40 years. if I took one camping i'd take too pairs of handcuffs, one to hook it to my right wrist and the other to hook my assault 12 gauge to the other wrist. Then pleasant dreams. Jim

Was it? They may have sold their products but I can't find anything that Rat Shack owned them.

I hate to say this but Radio Shack was a Store chain, They sold many products Midland was one of them. Radio Shack did not make product for them, Midland may have made product to their design and spec, as did hundreds of manufacturers. I've used Radio Shack products for years, You are correct some are toys and junk, but some are very good, you get what you pay for, I was sorry to see them go, they provided many thing you needed to repair projects, quick and easy go in get what you need go home use it, very handy. I never bought anything from them that was poor quality, mainly because I know quality, I never bought anything there that wouldn't do the job. Now in a town of 80,000 we nave few places like that, now other stores sell that same "Junk", but don't stock what you need to make stuff, just a package in plastic, but never the Nuts and Bolt stuff you need to get the job done.

I taught myself electronics out of those stores, now no-one learns anything. Hello U.S.A.! Jim

I totally remember the Midland junk--from Radio Shack.
No quality at all.
I do see where the brand is being offered elsewhere; but sorry, folks--once bitten . . .
Their association with RS established a very negative reputation.
Sad that Radio shack abandoned the "makers" in favor of the mass market and phones.
Makers have been driven to the Internet by squirrely companies like RS;
but they have certainly found some gems. Never going back!
