Technical - Sleepyhead Data

Post by RobAndrews » Mon Mar 19, 2018 9:01 pm

Hello, This is my first post to CPAPTALK.

I have been using a Phillips Dreamstation Auto CPAP DSX500H11C for three days. Seem to be successful thus far. I wanted to look at my data on the SD card - maybe even use to for a post here. Unfortunately, our old PC does not have a SD Card slot. Yes, I know Amazon can solve that in a few days. However, My company laptop does have the slot. However, my company doesn't allow us to download anything onto our company laptops. I thought I'd solve that by copying the contents of the SD card onto a USB drive - insert that in our PC and see results. Didn't seem to work. Which files is Sleepyhead looking for? Sleepyhead asked me to download SD data, but when I chose the USB drive -- nothing happened. Any advice for the data transfer?

Much thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Sorry, I don't have any technical info to help you, but likely other members will be along to steer you, and my post will bump yours to the top of board index again.

cheers,
Jean

Shutting, with careful fingers and benign,
Our gloom-pleas'd eyes, embower'd from the light,
Enshaded in forgetfulness divine

SleepyHead is looking for the P-Series main folder that contains all the sub folders/files.
If you tried to go into the P-Series folder SleepyHead won't know what to do with each individual file..it needs to be directed to just the P-Series folder or where that folder happens to be.
So try the letter of the drive where the USB port is showing up in the directory. It should designate a letter name to wherever that USB port is.

Alternately if you can put the P-Series folder on your desktop you can point SleepyHead to the P-Series folder that way.
But don't try to go into the folder with your pointing. It just confuses SH and then when it is confused it does nothing which you already found out.

I use flash air cards in our machines. I copy the data from the card to my computer via Wi-Fi. Sleepyhead reads the data from the files on my computer.

I am also using Toshiba FlashAir SD card. So convenient not having to take out the SD card and return it. Highly recommended.

I guess it depends on how often you transfer the files.....I do it twice a month.
