Set the machine to FIXED cpap mode, pressure of 6 EPR 1. She probably woke up because her pressures went too high.

See what happens. I'll bet the majority of CA's will vanish. If so, you can go from there after you see what happens with that for a few nights.
Will probably try your suggestion tomorrow night or the next if CA's tonight don't appear to coincide with being awake.

When my wife first started treatment, she used my back up machine for four months until they were sure she wouldn't need an ASV machine.

You can move to min 6, max 6.2 pressure for a while to get use it it. I wouldn't unless you want to go more slowly. I'd keep it as it is for a couple of weeks.Use EPR settings as it suits.
I wouldn't be concerned with the CA at this stage.

I set the machine to 8(because she felt like she had to work to hard to get air) with epr 1 for last nights session.
results are much better all the CA events seem to be when she is awake.
Changed to 7 for tonight's sesssion.

In the middle of the night I noticed she took the mask off.
Said she was fighting to get air.
Adjusted settings from 7 cm to 8 cm H2O and changed humidity from 5 to 4.
Things improved so I will leave it where it is for tonight.
Titration study is 2 weeks away so I will stop tweaking very soon.
