New to using a cpap device now sleep worse then ever

Post by Dfalk100 » Sat Mar 03, 2018 11:38 pm

So I have been using my device for almost two weeks now and have found myself waking up through the night due to louder snoring and more issues with my asthma with the machine on. Before have the machine I never had an issue sleeping through the night and feeling rested. This new issues is very unsafe as I am a truck driver and need to get a good night's sleep what should I do

What machine do you have? If it has full data you'll want to download sleepyhead software which is free and show us your data.

I can tell you right now if your snoring a lot with CPAP then your treatment isn't close to being effective. No way to tell if you're having huge leaks or not enough pressure without the data.

It can take some people a couple of months to adjust to cpap. Give it time. If you are snoring, you need more pressure. download sleepyhead and get some charts up.

I can't sleep with my pressure any higher it sets off my asthma the same way exercise does it's the reason I stopped my sleep test I started having an asthma attack when the machine ramped up pressure past 5 I can't have it keeping me up t night. That's not safe I have no issues with waking up through the night with out it and I have no issues with wakeful sleepiness like I have since starting the program and I don't know how to download the info. It's something my job made me do for their records.

.

If you can't handle a pressure of 5, there is definitely something wrong..... How about some info, like what model Dreamststion are you using, what is the pressure setting, what mask are you using, what was the result of our sleep study? If you want help you need to give up some information. What pressure was recommended at your sleep study?

Do you have a copy of your sleep study report? If not, I suggest you get it. There may be some clues in it that could help us help you. Also, please do follow through and let the folks here see some machine data. It would be premature to consider this is a fail at this point. Not nearly enough info. Good luck sorting through things.

Good luck with that... But it's not just about the sleep, it's about your brain dieing... Unless you only have minor apnea.
Instead of Sleep apnea it should be called "Sleep deprivation, starving of oxygen, being poisoned by high CO2 levels, damaging the body and brain while it's supposed to be healing so that you constantly get worse and can never get healthy Apnea"
