Re: Central & Obstructive - AHI always around 10 with ASV. Tweak Settings?>?

I went back to page one and saw they are obstructive events tagged. ASV max out at epap15 and on that chart you needed epap 15+. You may need to work on positional apnea, foam cervical collars etc to open your airway. That may allow the epap to clear obstructive events better. Have you resolved the ...

Re: Settings for an Aircurve ST-A machine

Fair enough, it is an experience to try the different modes. So nothing has changed in your health. I think it is sensible to stick with Apap. The S mode could be an option if you need high pressure over 15. A quick look at a thread from last years showed you were only on min 9 epr3 and doing OK. Yo...

Re: Settings for an Aircurve ST-A machine

What are your thoughts? The machine can be set up for you in any mode it has. Is there any reason not to use your apap? Do you have anything that would warrant moving to another mode?

Re: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV Configuration

It sounds like you would have done well on a properly set up cpap. Most advise the apaps with too low of a min pressure. For info, on the resmed site, asv isn't classed as a ventilator. The ST and up are. I think one of my posts are gone. It was telling you the epap 6 ps3 is very similar to apap min...

If all the abuse that is slung, you are going to pull me up on my comment about the lab and dr being right. It is there in the titration. And the misinformation he is being told here ?
It was even going to be dangerous for him. Your moderation is unique.

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

Well the lab knew what they were doing. The doctor knew what he was doing. I understand it's a shock to the system, and as I've said, ASV is going to use similar pressure too. If you have an issue go back and talk with the doctor. You can see the nonsense you are being told here.

Re: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV Configuration

Poor fool, they are the resmed guide defaults, except for the min epap 6. The reason I went one under is to see if the min epap 7 was too high.

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

My little troll, how have you been? I'm sure the doctor isn't as clueless as you are. In the US system of suing everyone. Even the doctor would have had evidence that 26/16 was the right number for the script, and no provider would issue the machine without a script. But by all means, you clowns con...

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

I would double check, I know resmed doesn't tag CA on ST and I would think the Philips ST would be the same. It will tell you how many breaths were spontaneous and how many were timed. It will also tag apnea as UA. I can see no reason to even consider PS4, it can't treat CA. You seeing CA treated wi...

Re: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV Configuration

Gold standard for obstructive apnea is fixed pressure CPAP. Any bilevel like asv etc. Can be worse for you and shouldn't be done on a whim.

If you want to try asv
Min epap 6
Max epap 15
Min PS 3
Max PS 15

Thanks for the spirited discussion all! I've got a few nights of OSCAR data. Sleepyhead does not support this machine. Which of the following graphs would be most useful for viewing? I can prob fit about five. Leaks are atrocious - time over leak redline was 106.4% last night Event Flag Flow Rate P...

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

You need to excuse the drama and hand wringing over PS10. It is within the normal range for a backup breath. The person is using a BiPAP S/T - which is not an auto adjusting machine. A set PS of 10 aggravates the CSA instead of helping it. A set PS of 10, in the case of a normocapnic individual, wa...

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

You need to excuse the drama and hand wringing over PS10. It is within the normal range for a backup breath. Contact your provider, they can check on the settings and the results. If I were to question anything, it would be if the epap 16 needs to be this high. I assume Oscar doesn't display your ma...

Re: Help with therapy on Dreamstation BiLevel S/T

If you are heading for an ASV. These are the pressures you need to get use to. You will get use to it. The largest epap you can have is 15 on most machines. Reducing the epap by 1cm really wouldn't be noticeable. They have a PS10 or 26 ipap to inflate your lungs, when you CA It seems that you need 1...

Re: Adjusting pressure on Trilogy 100

They do take some getting use to and will self adjust each breath. They blow the pressure needed to achieve the volume of air needed each breath and what tidal volume is set. I wouldn't change settings. I would contact your provider to talk over how you are feeling and 9details on the settings they ...
