Take a look at Apneaboard in the members file areas you need to be a member that can help you get encore but I have heard it’s a horrible application that requires Microsoft sql installing

I have a question:

My machine has an SD card too. Can I pop it out and put it into my iMac and see stuff? Will it give me info and stats and tell me HOW well/terrible I am sleeping? I use this DreamMapper app for my iphone that the Philips company said to use.... basically, all it seems to tell me, so far, is how many hours/mins I slept the night before.

I have the DreamStation machine. Can it tell/log if I'm having apneas? Can it tell when I pop the hose off the mask at night and toss it on the bed so I can go pee and when I return and put the hose back on the mask and get back to sleeping?

I'm DYING to know what that silly little SD card is knowing about me. I'm only on Day 7. I'm so curious about it! Should I take it out and put it into my PC and see what's on it?
You won't be able to read it without good software such as SleepyHead.

Unlike Santa Claus, it does not know when you are sleeping and when you are awake! However, it does know when you are using your CPAP (you could be awake with it engaged, or sleeping without it). It knows your leak rate, your pressure at all times (especially relevant to automatics), how how many episodes of various types your're having, when you're having them (to the second), and how long they are lasting.

Basically, if you use your machine for four hours per night, five nights per week, you're compliant from an insurance point of view. However, I recommend using it the entire time you sleep, including naps.

Right now she has the half assed brick DreamStation CPAP model...it won't work with SH because there's nothing to show because the needed details files are absent from the SD card.
SleepyHead will likely show nothing at all and not even generic AHI or hours of use because of the missing files.
I think she will likely get the message..."you have a brick" from SleepyHead.

Thanks, D.H.

It looks like we have the same, or similar machines, according to your pictures at the bottom of your posts. I have tried to use the sleephead software, but it doesn't tell me anything. Are YOU able to use it with your DreamStation machine? How am I doing it wrong?? I downloaded and installed the software and registered, but it can't tell me anything.

I do use my machine every night, and for naps, if I take one. I'm only one Day #10 tonight.

Thank you also, JasWilliams. I do have a Windows 10 machine at my other house.... but I don't know what sql software is. Maybe I can figure it out? I'll go to the apneaboard you mentioned and see what I can learn. Thank you.

SQL is part of what the Respironics software called Encore Pro uses. The SQL part of it...highly problematic and causes a high install failure rate.
I don't advise people going with Encore Pro unless we have absolutely no other choice. It's a POS software to be blunt about it but sometimes we have no choice but to use it.

I your situation with your DreamStation CPAP model DSX200xxx....you gain nothing by using any software over what you can see with the machine's LCD screen or the lame DreamMapper app software thing.
There's simply no detail data available for any software to report on that SD card.

Unless you can get your hands on a full data machine (ResMed or Respironics) there's nothing for you to gain by using SleepyHead or Encore above what you can see on the LCD screen.
