POS EncorePro

Post by MaxINTJ » Tue Feb 20, 2018 6:43 am

As mentioned elsewhere, I did get this dinosaur of an application installed after 2 hours of it seemingly doing nothing and another hour or so spent figuring out how to get my data into it.

However, I cannot find anyway to display data in graphs or charts, so it's not any better than the screen on the machine. Even going through the manual, it appears that 99% of what it does is managing patients. That's great for a doctor's office, but what's the point for a home user?

Maybe nearly a year of extremely poor sleep has just made me stupid...

News flash....Encore was never designed for the home patient user. It was designed for DMEs and doctors offices and yes...it's primary job is patient management. We aren't even supposed to know about it much less use it.
This is why Mark decided to come up with SleepyHead so many years ago...he was using a Respironics machine and hating Encore.

It will show the detailed data....you just have to tell it to show the detailed data first. It defaults to summary only data.
All those reports I have sent you...you can get those also.

Is EP going to give me a clear and concise set of graphs like SH, or is it going to give me 20 pages of crap to look through?

EP will give you what I have sent you in emails as attachments from my EP program.
It gives all that it will give. I actually prefer the wave from from EP because it's much easier then trying to compare by zooming in in short segments that we have to do with SleepyHead.

It's the wave form graphs that you need to evaluate your asleep vs arousal breathing....the other daily detailed graphs aren't particularly useful in your situation just like the normal detailed graph in SH isn't particularly useful in your situation.

If you don't like what EP gives then don't use it. Bitching about it changes nothing.
Work with what you have or don't work with it. Your choice. I get you don't like it but not much anyone can do about it. Nothing is going to change. Make the best of a less than desirable situation or don't. Again, your choice.
Is it perfect? Hell no...but it's all you got.

Or try turning BPM back to auto just to see if it will let SleepyHead work for you...at least try it. SleepyHead can work with the 960 for some people.
Or go dig up some cash and buy your own ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV or S9 Adapt. You have choices...I get it you don't like your choices but I can't help that. It is what it is.

You have to adapt or not..the software isn't going to change just because you are unhappy with what you get.
Sorry but that's the cold hard facts of life.

Feel free to learn to code, write your own software, then send e-mails to yourself and complain about how crappy it's written. Jim
