Sleepyhead Statistics Differ from Overview

Post by Neicy » Mon Feb 19, 2018 8:29 pm

I have been noticing that although the overview shows only 5 days of use in the last 7, statistics say I am 100% compliant. Should it not say 71% compliant?

I also notice in preferences there is something about skip over empty days. Is there a setting I need to change to fix this?

Thanks.

Compliancy is calculated as

The "Medicare Standard" for CPAP Compliance is 4 or more hours nightly usage on 70% or more of sampled nights, or 21 of 30 days. By comparison, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends 7 or more hours nightly usage. With sleep apnea, treatment is only effective when using CPAP.

Not unless you particularly need or want to.
In Preferences/Appearance tab there is a "skip over empty days" and it comes with a default check mark. You can try removing the check mark and see if it changes anything in the Overview graphs or whatever that makes things look more like you think they should look.

Thanks Pugsy. I'm thinking that by skipping over empty days Sleepyhead just doesn't include them in statistics figures; like they don't exist. I will try that and see if it changes the statistics figure.

I don't want to take that report with me and have it show a big difference from what the doc gets from the DME. I want to prove to him that using this software is accurate and a valuable asset to all apnea patients. His current attitude is that my last AHI at 4.44 was "good enough" I want to prove that it can be better than that with some effort. He may not care but I sure as hell do, and I DO feel better since getting it lower.

Why do I care when he's just going to say,"Come back in 6 months"? He said "Don't be obsessed with the numbers" Well I am until I get it consistently averaging under 2. Almost there. Those hypops are killers though.
