I've seen a decline in my Resmed AHI even though I haven't made any changes to any of my settings or to the CPAP protocols I follow every night. Does one's body somehow become more adjusted or perhaps I should say more receptive to therapy over time?
What I haven't seen is that hoped for improvement in vitality we all hope to see.

Re: Unexplained improvement in AHI
I once followed my AHI closely without changing anything.
Over a period of 6 to 8 weeks the AHI reduced approx 50%. It wasn't horribly high at the beginning of the trial period but I elected to use a set of settings because I did get one really good report and even though some of the other reports weren't quite so good I knew that it could work.
At the end of the 8 weeks or so I noticed that the "good" nights far outweighed the "not so good" nights whereas at the beginning of the experiment the "not so good" outweighed the "good".
Now why....beats me. I know we don't sleep the same each night so that can account for night to night variations but long term...maybe there is more truth to the "give it time" thing we hear about.
In my case I went from an overall average of around 3 to 4 AHI to between 1 and 2. No changes to anything during the experiment period.
