Private messages

My inbox says I have two private messages, but when I open it up I do not see them. What am I doing wrong?

Are you sure you are looking at the Inbox and not the Outbox? Are you scrolling to the end of the list in your Inbox?

Maybe you are looking at the Notifications count? It's a new feature to the left of the Private Messages button - could be easily misinterpreted.

it looks like a new message because the number is in front of the message icon, its really a notification.. are brains see a number and think information is on the right (not left) like below

That's just about exactly what happened to me. The line that has "Private messages" on the right hand side, just below the cpaptalk header widget at the top of the forum page, showed "Private messages 2". So I went into messages and didn't see them. Turns out that I had a couple of messages on the second page of messages that I never read. They weren't very interesting, luckily, so I clicked on "Mark all messages read", and bob's your uncle *smile*. No more unread messages. Wiped the slate clean.

PM works fine for me. As Cowboy Casey indicated the display indicated...

Notifications 1 Private Message 1

When I read the PM it reset both the Notifications and PM.

I guess the intent is to Notify you that you have a PM.

Notifications can be edited or turned off. Jim
