How Do I Prevent My CPAP From Falling Off?

Post by Kabuto » Sun Feb 18, 2018 6:40 am

Hi all,

I use the nose pillow, the only sleep mask I have felt comfortable leaving on my face. I try using hair clips to stick the mask to my longer hair. It 'mostly' works- but hasn't worked 100% of the time...

Anything I can do to increase the ratio of the mask working?

Thanks so much everyone!

Are you not using the provided 'gear' (straps etc) to hold it in place?

Better yet. fill out your profile. Then it will appear with posting you make (I think even retro-actively).

As previously mentioned....please take the time to list your equipment (mask and machine) in your equipment profile.
If you don't know how this explains how
wiki/index.php/Registering_Equipment_in_User_Profile

It really helps us help you better if we know exactly what you are using.

And yes please use text instead of the icon thing. Text makes it easier for us to understand what you are using because the images are a bit small and they sort of all look alike.

You say you use the nose pillow mask....but there are several different models of nasal pillow masks out there and for us to be able to offer ideas it would be really helpful if we knew exactly which brand and model you were trying to use.

Different masks often have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT headgear.
Please tell us which mask you wear (model, specifically), and we may be able to help.
For example, I use the P10 by ResMed, which has a stretchy headgear,
which stretches out with use, but can be renewed by washing in hot, soapy water.
This only works with this mask.
