Replacement SD Card

Post by D.H. » Fri Feb 16, 2018 11:09 am

I need to replace the SD card in my CPAP. Do I need to but the card for this CPAP, or can I just buy any SD card with adequate capacity? Also, what is the capacity need for a DreamStation Auto?

An additional question. How far back will a new card go (do I also need to bring the old one to my sleep doc)?

Any SD card will work. The SD slots are getting thinner so way old cards may not slide in easily.

I would change one out from a digital camera at least 2GB. Then buy a bigger card for camera.
Faster SD cards that say 30MB/sec or so download quicker to SleepyHead on you computer (USB 2.0)

Bring your old card to your Doc. Once you put a new card into you CPAP it starts storing new data from that date.

I contacted Phillips on this subject directly, after getting conflicting private information.

They said that I could get any SD card of 4 GB or less; a card with more will not be recognized. They also said that the machine stores six month worth of data internally, and that would transfer to any new card.

The card that I have in my old camera (I use my phone as my camera now) is larger than 4 GB, so I have to order a new card.

when i had phillips i was using 32gb. i also tested a 32 gb mini phone sd card but you have to use the whole adapter and that works too. you are the only one that says f=different sizes don't work. if you called phillips you must have talked to somebody that has no clue.

In my wife's Resmed S9 Elite, I use an SD adapter shell, and a 2gb micro sd card inserted into that. I had the adapter laying around, and the 2gb micro sd card is from a old deactivated cell phone. It works perfectly.
