Distilled water all the way.
And it also works with sous vide--no more chalky scum all over!

The rest of us who probably ate dirt as kids, don't get it or worry about it.

I made the best dirt pies in the neighborhood when I was a kid and actually fed them to some boys who thought they were best cookies they ever had. You weren't one of them were you?
I was a baaaaad little girl...but then that was before TV and all this other fancy stuff and all I had to do was feed the boys dirt cookies for fun.
I also picked poison ivy (never have been allergic to it) and put it in a bunch of flowers for my sister (who was highly allergic) so she could have pretty flowers. It was 40 years before I told my mom why my sister got poison ivy so often.
Like I say...I was a baaaad little girl.

A little dirt...last thing on my mind back then and even now...but then I do remember sitting outside eating spoonfuls of dirt when I was very young.

Unfortunately, those with it think they are NORMAL,
and the rest of us are nuts.
That doesn't mean that one should not take the normal precautions, like washing the hands after using the toilet, before eating or handling food, and after coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose.

If you're really a germophobe, you can leave the CPAP running 24/7, even when you're not using it. That is simpler than using sanitizing equipment.
