Heated Tube/Humidifier Confusion

I'm confused. I have no idea if/how this might affect my CPAP's usefulness.

I got my CPAP on 5-5-15. I just discovered/noticed today that SleepyHead's Machine Settings shows

5-5-15 thru 7-7-15 . . ."Heated Tube = NO" and "Humidifier Status = Connected". That was/is correct. I did not have a heated tube and I filled the humidifier every night.

7-8-15 thru 2-8-18 (today) . . ."Heated Tube = YES" and "Humidifier Status = Disconnected". That is NOT correct.

I didn't get a heated tube until 1-9-18. I've continued filling the humidifier and have not noticed a change in water usage. Shouldn't it have continued as NO/Connected until I got the heated tube and then changed to Yes/Connected? Are these settings meaningful?

I just now checked "Setup" on the machine itself. It said "Heated Tube = OFF". I changed it to "ON". I'll wait to see if that changes my comfort level and/or shows up in SleepyHead.

I'm beginning to think that nobody (in the medical profession) has more than a thimble full of CPAP knowledge. All the useful advice that I've gotten has come from this forum. Keep up the good work.

Disregard the incorrect information reported by SleepyHead in the settings part of thing where things are connected or disconnected.
It's a know bug. Sometimes SH gets it wrong. We don't know why and it was never fixed. Probably a minor coding thing bug that was going to be fixed but never got fixed.

Ignore what it says because it means nothing one way or the other other than being annoying and causing you to be confused.
