I'm a newbie myself, and not really experienced in reading these charts. However, something just before 'the gap' concerns me in the snoring chart, and that is that the machine seems to think you started a cycle of snoring in the several long minutes prior to the gap. It's not like the line rises in one sample immediately prior to the onset of the gap...instead, it shows a measured timeline with high profile showing in the marks.

Perhaps those with more experience can offer some insight.

Did you think it could have something to do with the new medication? If it's not your machine get a cheap nanny cam. I'm an active sleeper, even go outside, wake up with the front door open, throw the mask over the side of the bed - the alarm doesn't wake me. Sometimes just turn the machine off.

I'm thinking you wouldn't turn it off and then turn it back on in your sleep. (All the stuff I do is normal!)

Re: Worried about past two nights--new graphs

Another night...I have a headache. Last night, I shut off the Smart Start and covered the button with a tupperware. There were no unexplained gaps, but the graphs still look troublesome, I think. I've never had these gray shaded bits--large leak?

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them. I'm considering going back to my S9....

Looks like Photobucket won't let you link to the images now. They did that to me. Something they let me do for years for free they want me to pay $400 a year to do. Screw 'em.
I use imgur.com now....free and it will let me do what I want and I don't have to wade through a gazillion ads to do it.

Plus it's actually easier.

Sign in/log in to your imgur account.
Once logged in click on the image you wish to share and box of addresses will show up on the right side and below the box of address are the various thumbnail options.

Follow these steps.
1...click on large thumbnail first...this changes the image size so it isn't so big as to go off the page and changes the addresses just a little so that the image is resized
2...copy the last line in that box of addresses "linked to bbcode" and paste that copied address (after the image resizing change from using the thumbnail) into the body of your text here.
3...then do the preview thing and you should be able to see your image.

Using this address code and the large thumbnail combination will let us see a reasonably sized image but if we need to see it larger we can then click on the image and enlarge it if needed.

I did go look at the spot you were concerned with. All I see is mask leak...what about it concerns you?

Oh...don't crop your images so severely...and no need for multiple graph images. You can get all you need on one image in terms of the basic graphs and if we want more we can ask.
These graphs...on the right side
Events
Flow rate
Pressure (or mask pressure but don't need both)
Leak
Flow limitation (if using Resmed machine and it looks very active).
On the left side...hide the calendar. Turn off pie chart viewing if you can.
Then the AHI and the category of events graph will show up along with some useful statistics.

All the above can be included on one image and makes for much easier reviewing.
Like this one. This one is a fluke bad night for me. Some clustering that rarely happens. So rare I didn't even worry about figuring out what happened.

Pugsy, and anyone else—I know that it’s not really that unusual to have gaps or large leaks, but the thing is, I’m seeing results I’ve never seen before. I’ve never had gaps, and I’ve never had large leaks. I’ve been on new meds since 12/27, and got a new machine on 1/19. Things things were great, even after both of those changes, but now they’re not. I’ve had several sleepy, head-achy days, so I’m trying to sort out why that might be.....I know I’m impatient, and greedy. My doctor said to avoid these forums, now that I have him to advise. He said to just proceed and not to worry. I’m just not good at that.

If it is any consolation to you and eases your mind a bit....we all have nights where things don't go as planned or the data looks wacky or we have more leaks than normal or whatever. I still get them from time to time myself and I have been on this stuff coming on 9 years in May.

We don't sleep the same each night...some nights we might move around more which gives us more chance of mask movement leak.
Some nights the mouth might drop open briefly (and we sleep right through it) and we get a brief mouth breathing/opening leak.
There are a lot of potential variables that can happen each and every night.

I see stuff that leaves me scratching my head sometimes wondering what the heck happened but unless it is something that makes a habit of showing up so that all I do is scratch my head I shrug my shoulders and move on.
I can't do a darn thing about last night anyway. It's water under the bridge.

So expect to see the unexpected and unusual because I guarantee you that from time you time you will see it. Don't stress out or worry about it though.

This is a question. How do you get such specific data out of your c/apap? All I get from my Airsence 10 web site is hours of use divided into total number of incidents plus number of mask leaks. Do you take out your chip and put it in your computer? Do I need a different brand of CPAP that gives better data?

Which model AirSense 10 machine do you have?
Choices are
CPAP
Elite
AutoSet
AutoSet for Her

All but the "CPAP" models will give you the data you see here in various examples.
Model name is clearly shown on the lower right corner of the face of the machine where you see "AirSense 10"

Yes, I take the chip out of my Resmed Autoset 10 and put it in my computer, then use the free Sleepyhead software to read the data. The machine itself gives very little in the way of detailed data.

I would turn off the ramp and raise the min pressure to 7.6 To see how that sorts out your AHI and the tidal volume dips.
