Win7 32bit & installing CMS50d_trouble need help

Post by Zmartha » Wed Jan 17, 2018 4:56 pm

Hello! Thank you, kind people, for sharing so much informative stuff. I have read and learned a lot since I started using a CPAP machine the first of Jan. due to fatigue for months and months. I had mono for 8 months last year. (There is no test that tells a person they have mono...Just a high antibodies count.) So not sure that was my problem.

I have perused and read a lot of posts to learn more about CPAP machines and software, but now I am stuck.
I ordered & received today CMS50D+. I have WIN7 32 bit. I followed the directions in the box, installed the software from the disc, plugged the USB cable into the oximeter and The SIL drivers quickly installed. I disconnected the oximeter & I turned on record & stuck my finger in it for 30 seconds. Then reconnected to PC clicked on one, then both windows and nothing seemed to be uploading or reading.

Then I read presterjohn's post (I think that's who it was). It said, "do not download or install "CP210X USB Driver for Windows 7." I looked that up and found that is the name of the SIL drivers. Since the oximeter immediately downloads those drivers without asking permission, must I return it to Amazon? Or is there someone who can help me please? It could easily be something I am doing wrong. Or is there an oximeter that will work with WIN7 32bit?

I am not on the old PC like I used to be because I have a tablet and cell so I may have forgotten a lot.

I got it to interface with Sleepyhead.

Go here
http://www.pulseoxstore.com/content/manuals-downloads
and poke around and find the software for Windows 7 32 bit
It's possible that the disc you got had the wrong software on it.
If you got it to work with SleepyHead then it's just a matter of finding which oximeter software works with your computer.

I haven't tried live recording to computer just recording on to sensor itself then uploading the data to software. Have you tried that?
You have to turn on sensor when it looks for it for it to show up.

I haven't tried what you suggest, but i have tried several of the drivers & softwares recommended by different online sites including The Cooper Medical pulseoxstore, but so far, nada. My PC doesnt see the oximeter with batteries when it is plugged in by it's own USB cable.
What do you mean by sensor please?

For the CMS 50 d to be seen by the pc for data download turn on the device then meter the menu with one push of the button. When it is in the menu you should be able to download the recorded data
