Can't get pulse oximeter to download

I have a Contec CMS50F.

The Oximetry Wizard says I need a USB to Serial UART driver. The "click here" link for more information doesn't work, and copy/pasting it returns "File not found."

I searched google and installed a USB to Serial driver from here:

http://www.prolific.com.tw/US/ShowProdu ... 29&pcid=41

When I click Import in SleepyHead, it immediately crashes ("quit unexpectedly").

I am using OSX 10.13.2 and SleepyHead 0.9.8-1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a newer version of SleepyHead for OSX.

SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-2

EDIT

I use USB directly into SleepyHead with Import Wizard. Contec CMS50F with OSX 10.10.5

I'm not sre what you are trying to do,I think you are trying to import your O2 data directly from your device into Sleepyhead. I do not think this is possible. I have a similar O2 device (no bletooth) and I have to import the O2 data into the Contec SPO2 assistant first and then import that file that the Assistant saves into Sleepyhead. In other owrds import into SPO@ Assistant and save file, import that file with SleepyHead Oximetry Wizard. I am on a Windows machine, maybe works different in Apple

Ok I installed the new version.

Now it doesn't crash, but it tries for a while and then says it can't find any compatible oximeters.

I tried with the oximeter both turned off and turned on.

klm49: I don't think Contec has any Mac software.

Ok, I uninstalled the driver I found on Google and installed the one recommended by the new version of SleepyHead.

Now it seems to see the oximeter, and it says to select the "upload" option in the menu, but I see no such option.

This does work on a Mac, see my edited post.

Plug in and turn on Oximeter and move cursor to Black Apple select About this Mac and then System Report, Then USB
It should have listed CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller
Did you select the correct Oximeter from the list?
My Oximeter says Vers. 3.7 when starting up what's yours?

I have unchecked the following boxes
Set time
Set device identifier
Erase Session

I was stumped by that too. Skip that step.

I finally got it to work, I had to select v3.7+ (I think it may have been different in the beta version of the software I was trying with before)...

Ok it says it worked... Where am I supposed to see the oximetry data?

Ok I finally got it to work. The feature that's supposed to align session data doesn't work, I tried setting the clocks the same and that worked. Also the "purge oximetry data" actually purges ALL data, including CPAP data.

Actually the align feature may work, but the CPAP data was missing when I tried it.

Does anyone know how I can contact the developer?

Import again from card to get sessions. SleepyHead can not change card.

2 steps
  • Lock your SD card
  • Have card backed up by SleepyHead
Make donation and get email

I didn't say I lost the data, I just have to click Import again to grab it off the card. But the software is doing something it shouldn't.

Also, I tried importing again with the feature that syncs the session start, but it starts the oximetry data at end of the first session, rather than at the beginning of the one I selected...

Just made a donation, as I think that SleepyHead is excellent software.
