I use a resmed p10 mask & i have been wearing my cpap now for almost a year, it smells like piss & i need a new one, yes i clean it from time to time but its not helping, ive changed the pillows a few times as well......my insurance sucks & my deductible is high so im afraid to get screwed if i go thru aprea again to get my parts, was wondering were the CHEAPEST place is online to get new headgear pillows tubing masks & filters are & whats the norm on when you should replace all of them cause im sure aprea is telling me bs so they can collect from my insurance...they are saying filters every month when mine still looks clean, masks every 3 months pillows every month
Thanks,

I replace masks and hoses when they no longer give good service - low leaks, low AHI, comfortable. I use them for a very long time.

Mask gets washed in soap and water every 5 days, so it never smells like piss. Hose never gets cleaned except occasionally to wipe down the connectors where my hands leave tiny bits of oil.

Filters - replaced about every three months (My house is very clean, and filters could probably go longer.)

A baking soda soak might help with odor too stubborn to yield to washing.
Aromatherapy is a blessing for me.
Pur-sleep has a sample kit, I found on cpap.com (forum sponsors)

Wash mask nightly using Dawn, rinse, then spray with white vinegar & let sit for 3-5 mins, rinse really well, let air dry. I also use Contour CPAP wipes occasionally, work well might try the wipes for daily wipedown.

I wash chamber once a week; when weather is warm, wash every other day. I spray with vinegar just like my mask, since well, air dry.
