Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Palerider don't be so sure. My Respironics 560 was blowing so hard a year and a half ago that I decided to switch. I went with an Resmed Autoset and it turned my life completely around! I have to wonder though if I have lungs full of old foam. In fact, for years I swear that machine blew too hard. I...

Help w/ Sleepyhead
So I have my new (ish) ResMed 10 Autoset. Three nights now. Last night was shortened by waking with bad drymouth. I'm still fiddling with pressure settings. My last sleep lab result was 11.5 (two years ago) which was I think .5 less than my first which was in 2013. It looks to me like the ResMed mac...

As a longtime former user of Respironics, I have to agree with PaleRider.

Re: DME/insurance or buy online? Same price, what do I do?
I priced this out myself just recently. What I didn't realize is that if Medicare is involved the price goes way up. I called the DME and asked how much is an AirSense 10 Autoset? They said if bought outright without insurance it is about $650. So I mentioned that I have insurance, and my insurance ...

Re: AirSense 10 Autoset Oddities
Jas Williams, Thank you so much! Great pictures and I know exactly the connector you describe. It is tricky, only two inches long and you have to hold both motherboard and SD card board upside down while manipulating the connector which does not plug in as one might assume. It rather snaps over the ...

Re: Air Filter! Why? Do I need it? If so wheres the proof?
Pugsy,
Oh my, I bet it did. I guess I'd better put some glue on the filter I built last night from two Respironics Fine filters cut up so as to fit the ResMed 10. Two of the pieces could easily be swallowed by the machine, but they wouldn't get into the fan --at least not all the way in!

Re: Air Filter! Why? Do I need it? If so wheres the proof?
This is an important topic for newbies and I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that most recent machines have two grades of filter. One is merely a dust filter, and then there is a much finer filter which may be the "pollen" filter that has been mentioned. I think I saw a specification on cpap.c...

AirSense 10 Autoset Oddities
Just bought a used Autoset which I dismantled to clean. Last night was my first night and I noticed that it doesn't shut completely off when I remove the mask. You can hear the fan running at a very low speed and just a bit of air coming out. Is this normal? I hit the power button and the machine re...

Re: DeVilbiss IntelliPAP AutoAdjust vs. ResMed AirSense 10 Auto for Her
Thanks Pugsy and PR! I'm now comparing the AirSense 10 for Her to the DeVilbiss 2 which seems to be an update. It also has a special humidifier that shunts exhaust air out without humidification. Anyone use this machine? Does the Pulse Dose Humidifier allow a longer sleep time before you run out of ...

Re: Need more water capacity
PaleRider,
Why do you recommend the AirSense10 for HER? I am considering it because it is on sale $750 online, but I'm leaning towards the IntelliPAP 2 because of the Pulse Dose Humidification (and, BIOr Not), the clock. What do you think of that model?
