Night #27
Nasal mask users, help please:
Sleep on back (picture coffin). Do not move except to get up a time or two. Loop the hose over the top of my head and there is no "pull" on it. Settling in for the night, any leaks are tiny and immediately adjusted.
For 3-4 nights, I've been awakened with a honk-bleep next to my ear that comes from the LT side of the nasal mask. It's not constant. Long and loud enough to come fully awake. A minute or two later the sound repeats. By then sleep is gone; I turn off the machine and unmask. Unfortunately this can be 3 or 4 a.m. My sleep is so much improved with CPAP, it's frustrating that treatment hours are shortened. I do go back to sleep but not hooked up.
I only use the Nasal Mask. Have changed from a RUBY type chinstrap to HALO, which coincides with the development of this noise except how can they possibly be connected?
At first, I thought it might have something to do with a dry water tank, but this morning there was still significant water. When asked, my Compliance Team person said that there is no dry-tank alarm and this was the first she'd heard of such a noise.
Thanks in advance.
